Contracting entity
CatalystDesk (the "Service") is operated by BANFF MANAGEMENT DATA ANALYSIS LIMITED (班夫管理數據分析有限公司), a company incorporated in Hong Kong with its registered address at Flat/Rm 1911, Lee Garden One, 33 Hysan Avenue, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong ("we", "us").
The service
The Service delivers US-equity market information, derived indicators and explanatory text by e-mail and on the web: Event Radar e-mails during market hours, the Premarket Brief before each open, the Live Watchlist web page updating about once per second in session, and the cross-market tape (cross-market readings of public data, around the clock). Where this site says the live page "mirrors the desk's own watchlist", it means the output of the objective algorithmic ruleset and event ontology run by the automated microstructure Event Radar — not anyone's positions or trading intentions. The Service is a publication and a data display, not an investment adviser, broker or trading venue.
Eligibility
Users must be at least 18 and have full legal capacity, subscribing for their own use; Desk Alpha – Personal is limited to personal, non-business use (see the next section).
Professional self-certification
Desk Alpha – Personal is offered to non-professional subscribers only: a natural person using the data for personal, non-business purposes and not registered or licensed with any securities regulator. To satisfy the upstream data providers' pass-through compliance terms, subscribing is your truthful confirmation that you are a non-professional subscriber, and you must tell us if that changes; professional or business use is not covered by the plan. A false statement is a breach of these terms and may lead us to adjust or end access.
Accounts and access
Free e-mail subscriptions require double opt-in. Live Watchlist access is granted per account; sign-in codes are for the account holder only, and accounts or credentials may not be shared. We may suspend or end access for abuse or breach of these terms, with notice by e-mail.
Fees and billing
Free carries no fee. The on-chain view (Pro Lite) is not charged in fiat by the Service: in your own wallet you make a one-time approval of a builder fee to the desk's on-chain channel, which the decentralised exchange collects on fills you route through it and which is a matter between you and that exchange; the Service does not charge your card or account, and touches neither your keys nor your funds. Desk Alpha – Personal, the full terminal with licensed third-party market data, is a subscription at $99 USD per month, taxes extra where applicable (shown at checkout before you pay); it renews automatically each month until you cancel. It is billed through the payment provider and Link is the seller of record: your receipts, invoices and renewal notices come from Link, and your card statement shows LINK.COM*. Product support for the Service is provided by us at hello@catalystdesk.ai. Prices are in USD.
Trade to Unlock
Trade to Unlock exchanges an on-chain approval for the on-chain view: you prove ownership of an address with one wallet signature that moves no funds, grants no allowance and places no order, and you approve, in your own wallet, a builder-fee rate for the Service's optional on-chain channel; we read only that address's public on-chain records, open the realtime on-chain view to the address once we confirm the approval, and re-confirm it periodically. The builder fee is charged by the venue, at the rate you approved, only on orders you actually fill through the channel; we charge you nothing in fiat. You may revoke the approval in your wallet at any time, after which the address loses the on-chain view at its next check; we may also revoke an address's unlock for abuse or compliance reasons. The channel opens by jurisdiction and is not offered to persons in restricted jurisdictions; we may change or end this arrangement at any time. It is not a reward, inducement or advice to trade.
White-label community tape
A community owner may carry the messenger bot into their own community. Binding confirms that the owner administers that community; that the referral link in the tape is supplied by and is the responsibility of the owner, and its referral revenue is the owner's; that the community is not directed at persons in restricted jurisdictions; and that the owner will not present the tape as trade instructions or a promise of returns. We may suspend or end any community's tape for abuse, misleading presentation or legal requirement. All rights in the tape remain ours; the community receives a limited licence to display it within that community.
Webhooks and API
The Desk Alpha API is in development and is not part of Desk Alpha – Personal. If it is offered, it delivers the cross-market tape by signed webhook: the receiver must verify the signature and the time window; delivery is best-effort and at-least-once, and may be duplicated, delayed or missing. The payload is for the subscriber's internal use and may not be redistributed or used to provide a signal service to third parties. Any action an automated system takes on it, and its consequences, are the user's own.
Cancellation
Free subscriptions can be cancelled at any time through the unsubscribe link in any e-mail, effective immediately. The on-chain view (Pro Lite) is driven by an on-chain approval: you may revoke the builder-fee approval to the desk's channel in your own wallet at any time, after which the address no longer receives the on-chain view at its next check. Desk Alpha – Personal can be cancelled at any time from your Link account or the desk's billing page: cancelling stops the next renewal, and access continues to the end of the period already paid.
Refunds
The Service charges you no fiat fee for the on-chain view, so there is no payment to the Service to refund; the builder fee arising on the on-chain channel is charged by the decentralised exchange on your own fills and any dispute over it is governed by that exchange's rules. For Desk Alpha – Personal, refund requests go to Link support or to hello@catalystdesk.ai and are handled under the payment provider's refund process; cancelling stops future renewals and does not by itself refund the current period.
Acceptable use
Content and data are for the subscribing account holder only; they may not be forwarded, redistributed, sold, scraped or used to train models. Do not interfere with the Service or circumvent access controls.
Data and derived data
The indicators the Service delivers (including but not limited to RVOL, gap lean, T15 state, catalyst-ontology labels and setup reads) are Proprietary Derived Data generated by our own algorithms and belong to us. The last price, volume, VWAP and auction-window imbalance values shown on the Live Watchlist come from third-party market-data providers, remain their property, are displayed under their terms and only within the Service; the Service retransmits no order-book depth (Level 2) data and no raw per-trade or per-quote stream. Market and news data may be delayed, missing or wrong; we do not warrant their continuity, completeness or accuracy, and subscribers may not redistribute them.
Intellectual property
The Service's ontology, indicators, text, layout and marks belong to us; a subscription grants a limited, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service, for the account holder only, on these terms.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of accuracy, completeness, timeliness or availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for trading losses or indirect damages, and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the dispute arose. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The courts of the Hong Kong SAR have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or the Service. These terms are published in Chinese and English; where the two differ, the Chinese version governs.
